At Plan d-, we believe that a performance does not end when the curtain falls. Our productions often mark the beginning of a conversation, an experience, or a new way of looking at the world.
Our dance performances explore themes that are rooted in society and closely connected to the lives of children and young people. Topics such as home, identity, friendship, change, nature, and living together are translated into visual and physical stories in which dance, theatre, mime, and humour play an important role.
Alongside our performances, we develop educational activities and engagement programmes tailored to different ages and audiences. These may include workshops, post-show discussions, interactive installations, community art projects, and creative classroom activities. Rather than focusing on finding the right answer, we encourage exploration, experience, imagination, and dialogue.
Through our educational programmes, we invite children and young people to be curious, discover their own stories, and engage with the world around them with an open mind.

Our offer for schools
Every Plan d- performance is built around a theme or story that is rooted in society and closely connected to the human experience. Always presented with a healthy dose of humour, our productions combine dance with elements of theatre and mime to create engaging and accessible performances for young audiences.

Plan d- performs in theatres, at festivals, and in schools. Many of our productions are suitable for educational settings and can be presented both in theatres and on location at schools.
To enrich the experience, we develop educational resource packs and teaching materials for selected productions. These materials help students prepare for a performance or continue exploring its themes afterwards in the classroom. The activities are connected to the themes of the production and encourage observation, movement, imagination, reflection, and discussion.
Depending on the production, we also offer workshops, post-show discussions, and other educational activities. These provide opportunities for students to engage more deeply with the performance and connect its themes to their own experiences and perspectives.
Schools can either visit a performance at a theatre or book a production to be presented at their school. For information about touring schedules, availability, and bookings, please contact our booking agency, Uit de Kunst.
