Between Two Worlds (16+)

About the question of where you belong

About the question of where you belong

He cannot hear the world. Yet he speaks it fluently.

Ali Shafiee fled Iran. Deaf in a country that ignored his deafness and left little room for who he was.

During his journey to the Netherlands, he discovers a language that goes beyond words.

Now he stands opposite Georgios Lazakis — rapper, spoken word artist, and someone who also knows what it means to live between worlds. They clash. They search. Together they create a tension between silence and sound.

As they perform, Thomas Brand draws images live on stage — memories you try to hold on to. Music by Izak Boom carries the story forward.

A performance about borders that do not appear on maps. About what remains when no one speaks your language. And about what becomes possible when you start to move anyway.

For audiences aged 16 and above.
